During our Spring Camp on April 30, the students of Little Mandarin Chinese School had the special opportunity to visit the Chinese Consulate General in Zurich on a beautiful spring afternoon.
The children were warmly welcomed by Consul General Chen Yun and the staff of the Consulate. During the visit, the students learned about the Chinese national flag and emblem, Chinese culture, and the role and work of the Consulate General. The children listened attentively, enthusiastically participated in quizzes, and explored maps and picture books about China and Switzerland.
They were especially fascinated by traditional Chinese cultural objects, including bamboo slips, Chinese knots, screens, and miniature pavilions. Inspired by the atmosphere, some students even recited Tang poems spontaneously. The visit concluded with memorable group photos in front of the national flag and emblem.
Consul General Chen encouraged the children to continue learning Chinese, deepen their understanding of Chinese culture, and become young ambassadors of friendship between China and Switzerland.
