Class Introduction:
Zhu Laoshi graduated from the Sichuan Fine Arts Institute and is a teacher with over 20 years of experience teaching art to children of all ages. She specializes in painting, drawing, and creative crafts. Her classes inspire imagination and confidence while helping children explore colors, textures, and artistic techniques in a fun and supportive environment.
This engaging class for children aged 4 to 9 combines Mandarin learning with hands-on creative expression:
- Storytime – Each session begins with a lively Chinese picture book or folktale.
- Art & Craft Projects – Inspired by the story, children create (Chinese and other styles) paintings, drawings, papercutting, or simple sculptures. These hands-on activities encourage self-expression, creativity, and fine motor development while reinforcing Mandarin words and phrases related to colors, shapes, and storytelling.
- ️Interactive Language Learning – Teachers integrate Mandarin into the creative process, encouraging children to describe their artwork, answer questions, and engage in simple conversations in a supportive and playful environment.
Location & Time:
- Poststrasse 18, 8700 Küsnacht, Wednesdays, 5.30pm until 6.30pm (a compact version of the programm)
- Gotthardstrasse 18, 8800 Thalwil: Saturdays, 8.45am-11.45am
- Lenggstrasse 26a, 8008 Zurich: Saturdays, 2pm-5pm
Costs: CHF 72 per session (incl. material), CHF 24 for Wednesday at Küsnacht
