Chang Solèr

Chang 陈畅 (originally from Tianjin) moved from China to Switzerland when she was 11 years old. After working for more than 10 years in the finance industry, she decided to turn her passion into her profession: She always dreamed of building bridges between the Chinese and the Swiss culture. Therefore, Chang partnered up with Hua to found Mandarin Education GmbH. Chang graduated with a bachelor degree in economics and a master degree in Banking and Finance from University of St. Gallen. She has extensive work experience in financial services, corporate finance and in family office. She is qualified as a swiss CPA and holds the CFA certification. Chang is responsible for strategy, marketing and finance of the Mandarin Education GmbH and its businesses.

Hua Xiao

Hua 肖华 (originally from Shandong Province) obtained her bachelor’s degree in teaching Chinese as a foreign language. Additionally, she acquired a certificate in psychology from Mount Holyoke College in Massachusetts, USA. Hua received her master’s degree in education, focusing on the curriculum and pedagogy of Chinese as a foreign language, from Beijing Language and Culture University. During her studies, Hua taught at Tsinghua University as a temporary teacher in the Chinese language and cultural center. Later, she worked at a Confucius Institute in the U.S. and taught in an outstanding Chinese Immersion Program for American elementary school students. Hua also holds a valid Chinese teaching certificate for primary and senior high school in China. Since 2016, Hua has been teaching Chinese in Switzerland. Since 2019, Hua has served as a judge for “Chinese Bridge (Switzerland )” – an annual Chinese Proficiency Competition for non-native Chinese speaking students. She is responsible for the teaching quality, curriculum development, and operation of Mandarin Education GmbH and its affiliates.
