The “Chinese Bridge” Chinese Proficiency Competition for Foreign College Students in Switzerland was successfully held on the 6 May at the University of Applied Sciences and Arts Northwestern Switzerland. About 200 Swiss Chinese learners and Chinese culture enthusiasts participated, making it the largest “Chinese Bridge” event in Switzerland’s history. The Chinese Ambassador to Switzerland, Wang Shiting, attended the opening ceremony and delivered a speech.
The theme of this competition was “One World, One Family”, and it consisted of various segments such as self-introduction, thematic speech, knowledge Q&A, and talent show. Contestants sang Chinese songs, drew giant pandas, showcased Chinese paper-cutting works, and performed Chinese Kung Fu, expressing their love for the Chinese language and culture.
